What exactly is task management- Managing the tasks we set for ourselves whether given by others or thought on our own is called task management. Whether at personal level or professional level each of us prepares things to do list. Though we need to prioritise the tasks, we also need to look at the time gaps in between which we can fill with other tasks.

How to go about it-First step is to recognize the most important tasks, the time taken by each of them and the right time at which the task should get over. Once the mind is clear with all the jotting down, it is time for getting the act together. Start with the major time consuming work and look for the time gaps you get in between to fill with small tasks. For example if a housewife is preparing some time consuming dish, she can collect the clothes to wash while the cooking is still going on. Kids can be made to revise their syllabus while you are busy with making your hairstyle. Thus the key is to fill in the short gaps of time you get with short duration tasks while you continue with your long duration tasks.

To sum it up-Experiment with the tasks and task management associated with it. Some tasks have to go in a serial order while most of them can go in a parallel way. Making the right judgement for these two kinds of tasks makes all the difference.
